Erotica is NOT porn!

I saw this "Pin" by Christy Deancausse on Pinterest and it sparked this post today:

I've gotten this question numerous times: “You don’t write pornography, do you?!?!”
Actually, I don’t.

I do, however, read and write in the erotica genre – sexually arousing material crafted in an artistic and creative way.

It’s funny how people confuse erotica with porn. It’s like comparing a painting with a comic book – they both serve a purpose, but they are totally different. True erotica is as much about the tale and the telling as the sexual content.
Sure, if you pick up an erotic short story the guy is bound to get the girl. Or the girl will get bound by the guy – the point is, how the two get together is as important as what happens when they finally do. Pornography is pure explicit sexual content – no story required. Erotica includes a story – there is a why and who beyond the what.  Erotica stimulates by way of the mind. It’s the roundabout way of sexual stimulation, sort of the scenic tour versus the expressway.

Like any other form of literature -- mysteries, biographies or historical novels, what you enjoy reading is a matter of personal taste. Erotica can take many forms from subtle to explicit. Try several, find an author you like, and discover all that erotica has to offer.
I have three fabulous 5 Star erotica books out now! And all e-book formats are on sale for only $3.99!!!!
Try one - I dare you!
